Marvel Comics, the brand name of Marvel Worldwide Inc., is formerly known as Marvel Publishing Inc. and Marvel Comics Group. In 1961, the Marvel era began launching “The Fantasy Four” including other famous superhero titles. In this article, I will introduce you to the names and personalities of a few Marvel Comics first superheroes that have achieved enormous popularity. 

  1. Spider-Man

Spider-Man, a Marvel Comics first superhero, is a stunning character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Appeared in American comic books by Marvel Comics in the early 1960s, this Marvel Comics first superhero has become popular through movies, tv shows, and video games. In this fiction, Spider-Man is the alias of an orphan boy, Peter Parker. He is raised by his aunt and uncle. Eventually, Peter acquires spider-like characteristics just after a bite from a radioactive spider. He gets the power to detect danger and fight against it with his superhuman qualities. He also becomes capable of building artificial spider-webbing of his own design.

Iron Man, created by a fine collaboration of Stan Lee, Larry Liver, and Don Heck, is a Marvel Comics first superhero that got enormous fame just after its first appearance in “Tales of Suspense” in 1963. Iron Man is originally Anthony Edward “Tony” Stark, a successful American businessman, philanthropist, and a scientist. Once he is kidnapped and forced to create a weapon for mass destruction. But he creates a mechanized suit of armor to save his life and get relief from his captivity. Gradually, he develops this suit and uses it to protect the world as Iron Man. Some say that Iron Man shows the significance of American technology in the fight against Communism. 

  1. Captain America 

Captain America, a marvellous Marvel Comics first superhero, is created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. This superhero characterizes a patriotic supersoldier who fights the Axis powers of WWII. His costume bears an American flag motif and he uses an indestructible shield made of Vibranium-steel alloy. He has incredible strength, speed, stamina, agility, and many other superhero-related qualities.

Marvel Comics’ another fictional superhero, the Hulk, is a green-skinned and muscular humanoid, though his alter self, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, is a physically weak and isolated physicist. After an accidental exposure of Gamma rays, Banner is physically turned into the Hulk that leads to destructive rampages and as a result his social life gets more problematic. This Marvel Comics first superhero is created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and it is inspired by an amalgamation of “Frankenstein” and “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”.

Thor Odinson or Thor is an enchanting Marvel Comics first superhero that is based on a Norse deity. This character is basically the Asgardian God of thunder. He has a magical hammer called Mjolnir with which he can fly and regulate the weather. Apart from weather manipulation, he possesses extreme strength, speed, durability, and longevity. This character is created by Jack Kirby, Stan Lee and Larry Lieber.
