The Civil War storyline was an incredible epic in the history of the comic book genre. Though the characters are related to one another only in a superficial manner, the Civil War event managed to create a stir. This was because it was a culmination of a long standing war which had left everything in chaos. One of the most famous superheroes at that time was Spiderman. He was an orphan and had joined the fight in his own interest.

During the Civil War Spiderman discovered a mysterious serum called spider venom which had the power to turn people into powerful killing machines. With this serum, he not only killed a large number of Hydra soldiers but also an unknown X-Men member named Cyclops. When the X-Men went on a mission to recruit Spiderman, they were captured by a terrorist group called the Terrorists. The X-Men were saved by a team of X-Men called the X-Men. All those who survived the encounter were left scarred by the experience.
