No true Star Wars fan can resist a dose of humor and a pinch of the cute Baby Yoda (AKA The Child). Aside from that, the show is rapidly breaking down borders between fandom and pop culture. As Lucasfilm works on new live-action shows, merchandise from the show has taken over the Star Wars Celebration store, generated connective tissue for some of the best Star Wars games ever developed, and is driving the success of Disney+.

Each episode of the show reveals another layer of the star wars Mandalorian comics backstory, which is thrilling for those who have been curious about the secretive warriors’ background. The Mandalorians’ past has been shrouded in mystery, with only a few juicy tidbits released over time. Some of the most delectable morsels have been found in comic books.

If you enjoyed The Mandalorian, here are some of the best Star Wars comics currently available, with a concentration on bounty hunters.

Kevin J. Anderson And Dario Carrasco, Jr.’s Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi – The Sith War

Star Wars

Dark Horse’s Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi comic series takes place thousands of years before Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader, the Sith Lord. It told stories about the Old Republic, the Jedi Order’s early days, and their struggle with the Sith.

Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma secures the loyalty of the Mandalorian Clans by beating their commander Mandalore the Indomitable in an attempt to turn the tide against the Republic. While this series is no longer considered canon, it contains so much rich Mandalorian knowledge that it is a must-read for fans of the show.

Dark Horse Comics produced Knights of the Old Republic before the hit video game; another series set thousands of years before the Battle of Yavin provides us some genuinely deep digs into the Jedi’s history, including their critical role in the Mandalorian Wars.

Over 20 years, star wars Mandalorian comics, the Ultimate and his warrior clan captured most of the galaxy, but thanks to Revan (a Jedi Knight who would later become a Sith Lord), the tide of the fight changed, and the Galactic Republic was restored to order. At the very least, for a brief period.

Boba Fett has become one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe since his debut appearance in the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special (yes, I went THERE). Even though he is not a Mandalorian warrior, this film presented his distinctive Mandalorian armor, which sparked rampant conjecture regarding its origins.

Conclusion

Star Wars

Boba Fett may no longer be as mysterious as he once was, but that doesn’t mean he’s any less of a badass. So many fantastic stories have been written about our favorite bounty hunter’s early days; Enemy of the Empire, a pre-New Hope adventure from Dark Horse, tells about one of Boba Fett’s first contacts with Darth Vader. It’s a terrific plot with fantastic and detailed graphics, and there’s a battle with the Sith Lord himself in action.
